What is a printer fuser?A fuser is a part inside a laser printer or copier. It's the part that melts the toner onto the medium (paper in most cases). The fuser is the most common part to fail in most laser copiers and printers. The fuser melts toner(ink) onto the paper. In early printers the fuser consisted of an upper and lower roller (think cylindrical). In more modern printers a fixing film assembly with a heating element fuser the image onto the paper. As the paper passes through these rollers/parts, the loose toner powder melts, fusing with the fibers in the paper. As toner is transferred to the paper, the fuser applies heat and pressure to ensure that the toner stays on the paper permanently. The fuser then rolls the paper into the output tray, and hey presto you have your finished page - hot off the press! Need a new printer fuser for your HP LaserJet?
